Marine Engineer / Maskinmester

Do you believe in a world without fossil fuels? We do! And with our patented and game changing technology, we can eliminate carbon emissions from heavy transportation providing a pathway to a greener future.

We are growing – and we are growing fast. We have many ongoing projects, and projects that will kick off soon. To make sure that we will be successful with all of them, we are looking for a Marine Engineer. Are you the one, we are looking for?

How you will contribute to a world without fossil fuels
As our new Marine Engineer, you will play an essential part in our biggest projects and priorities. Together with our engineers you will work on building a pilot plant in our lab in Søborg and you will be responsible for starting up the plant and for future modifications.

Furthermore, we have just taken the first steps in building a demo plant in Fredericia and here you will support our engineers, which means that you should expect a limited amount of travelling in your role.

The role as a Marine Engineer is a new role in our organisation. You will be part of the R&D team reporting to the Head of R&D, and in co-operation with him you will build your position to ensure the success of ongoing and future projects.

What we are looking for
To help reach our milestones we need a person who is an excellent engineer with a strong personal drive and self-motivation as well as:

  • experience with building and maintaining process equipment
  • expertise in automation of process control systems, for example PLC programming
  • knowledge in process equipment such as pumps, valve, sensors, and other measuring equipment
  • experience with welding and other hands-on tasks is an advantage
  • fluency in English, both written and spoken

Experience with pilot plants within biomass liquefaction processes such as pyrolysis or HTL, or within refining or oil and gas would be an advantage.

It is important that you enjoy working in an international team where collaboration is key and that you are a structured and proactive problem-solver who gets things done.

As a start-up we are always exploring, and our lab is subject to many new findings that sometimes result in new setups for us to test, learn and develop. Therefore, when joining our team, it is important that you are curious, flexible, and open to new ways of working while being a great team player.

At Kvasir, we perceive errors and setbacks in the lab as opportunities to learn and not as failures, and we hope you share this mindset. The entrepreneurial environment will sometimes require you to support your colleagues with things that might not be part of your job description. We are a team, and the team’s success is your success – and vice versa.

What you get
Working with Kvasir Technologies you will be part of a smaller international team in a rapidly growing company at the core of the green transition. We are ambitious and determined to make an impact, so we have put together a team of innovative and curious people who are all driven by our common mission to free the shipping industry from fossil fuels by 2050. The work environment at the office and in the lab is easy going and respectful. We work together as a team – and we have fun together as a team.

We provide flexible hours, remote working when it makes sense, competitive salary and benefits package, social events, and of course the opportunity for professional development and growth.
